Job summary

Impact Home Health in Cherryvale, Kansas seeks a compassionate Non-Medical Attendant Caregiver to provide in-home support and companionship. This role emphasizes safety, dignity, and independence for clients in their homes, with flexible days, evenings, weekends, and overnight shifts as assigned.

You’ll perform daily living activities, assist with meals, light housekeeping, mobility, and follow care plans while maintaining privacy and HIPAA compliance. Reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of professional caregiving or related experience.
• Flexible availability for varied shifts (days, evenings, weekends, overnight).
• Strong communication, listening, and observation skills.
• Able to work independently in client homes per care plans.
• Bilingual ability preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide non-medical personal care: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and changing as needed.
• Assist with safe mobility, transfers, ambulation, and positioning using approved equipment.
• Prepare meals, light housekeeping, errands, and other tasks supporting a safe home.
• Offer companionship while respecting client preferences, culture, and routines.
• Follow care instructions, report accidents or hazards promptly.
• Observe and report changes in health or well-being to supervisor.
• Communicate respectfully with clients, families, and team; maintain timely visits.
• Maintain accurate visit documentation and protect client privacy.
• Model values, build trust, and support a One Team culture.
