Job summary

A Better Way ABA is seeking a part-time Behavior Technician to provide in-home ABA therapy for children with autism, under the supervision of a BCBA. The role involves implementing personalized plans, collecting progress data, and maintaining accurate notes.

The position requires excellent communication, organization, and HIPAA compliance, with after-school and weekend availability. Part-time schedule of 15–30 hours per week with immediate start in several NY locations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children or in related field.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of HIPAA confidentiality laws and privacy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Deliver one-on-one in-home ABA therapy to children with autism.
• Implement behavioral plans developed by a BCBA/LBA.
• Collect accurate data during sessions to monitor client progress.
• Maintain detailed session notes and records.
• Collaborate with the therapy team (BCBAs, BTs, parents/guardians).
• Respond promptly to client, family and supervisor needs.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with families and supervisors.
