Job summary

The Museum of Science, Boston, seeks an In-Gallery Learning Program Assistant to facilitate hands-on STEM activities in staffed gallery spaces, including the Engineering Design Workshop and Hall of Human Life, and to help maintain these spaces for general museum audiences.

Applicants must have completed a previous Youth Internship at the Museum of Science; duties include engaging visitors for 4+ hours daily, assisting with setup and breakdown, and training on additional In-Gallery Learning

Qualifications

• Comfort assisting visitors in a busy gallery environment.

Responsibilities

• Interact directly with visitors for 4+ hours per day, delivering activities and serving as a museum ambassador.
• Assist with setup and breakdown of daily activities; keep gallery spaces presentable and ready.
• Train on additional In-Gallery Learning activities in the Engineering Design Workshop, Hall of Human Life, and Charles River Field Station.
