Abby’s Catering in Houston, TX is seeking a Line Cook to support daily production in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.

You will follow recipes, apply HACCP, maintain food safety, and present meals to specification while working weekends and holidays. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; ServSafe certification is a plus.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on Line Cook experience in high-volume kitchens.
Valid Food Protection Manager Certificate (ServSafe) recognized by local authorities.
Knowledge of HACCP and food safety programs.

Responsibilities

Follow recipes, specifications, and directions precisely, using proper tools such as scales and scoops.
Complete daily food safety documentation accurately.
Support the team in completing production and meeting all Kitchen Ready Times.
Prepare, cook, and present meals to specification.
Break down and trim proteins as needed.
Maintain clean, organized storage areas and ensure proper product rotation.
Minimize overproduction and waste.
Operate a variety of kitchen equipment safely and effectively.
Apply HACCP cooling procedures correctly.
Consistently meet or exceed food safety and quality standards.
Communicate effectively with team members and senior management.
