Job summary

Lime is seeking in-field Mechanics in Dallas to maintain and deploy Lime fleet vehicles across local markets. You will perform basic maintenance, safety checks, and field repairs to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition. The role requires lifting, outdoor work, and occasional driving or bike operation.

The position emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with local teams to maximize fleet availability and efficiency in line with city requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver license and clean driving record.
• Prior experience in a vehicle maintenance role is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 65 lbs (35 kg) frequently.
• Knowledge of mobile apps; iOS experience is a plus.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart.
• Strong problem-solving skills for quick repairs.
• Self-motivated with ability to work independently.
• Strong organizational skills and daily task management.
• Safety-oriented mindset with rigorous quality checks.
• Excellent communication and adaptability to outdoor/indoor work.
• Ability to safely ride bikes and Lime vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Ensure fleet compliance and complete quality checks for deployment.
• Perform basic maintenance in and out of the warehouse.
• Follow safety procedures to keep Lime riders on safe vehicles.
• Support battery management with accurate documentation and checks.
• Maintain safety and hygiene standards.
• Maximize operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks.
• Operate a pallet jack or push cart safely.
• Identify issues and perform small field repairs (brakes, tires, cleaning).
• Manage PAR levels and demand forecast for parts.
• Patrol designated zones to ensure vehicle parking tidiness per city requests.
• Detect and report on-ground service and product anomalies.
• Assist customers in the field as needed.
• Transport Lime EVs using a van as required.
• Deploy and retrieve Lime vehicles using bikes or e-scooters as needed.
• Handle additional related tasks as assigned.

We are looking for In-Field Mechanics to maintain our fleet of shared vehicles. This role is ideal for mechanically-inclined operations professionals that want to broaden and build their career experiences.

What you’ll do:

• Ensure operational compliance of fleet and complete quality checks for deployment

• Perform basic maintenance in and out of warehouse

• Follow established safety procedures to ensure Lime riders are on the safest vehicles

• Support battery management operations by ensuring accurate documentation and quality checks are completed

• Maintain and abide by safety and hygiene standards

• Maximize the number of operational vehicles by efficiently completing tasks assigned

• Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart on a frequent basis

• Identify issues and perform small repairs in the field on vehicles including but not limited to brake adjustments, tire inflation, and vehicle cleaning to ensure vehicles are in optimal working condition when needed

• May manage parts inventories including PAR levels and demand forecast

• Monitor designated zones by conducting on-foot patrols of the local area to ensure vehicle parking compliance and tidiness in accordance with city requests

• Detect and report uncommon situations related to on the ground service and product

• Occasionally assist customers in field by providing support related to Lime vehicles

• Safely operate a van to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed

• Safely operate a bike, cargo bike or e-scooters to assist with the deployment and retrieval of Lime electric vehicles within the local market as needed

• Additional job related tasks as assigned

About you:

• Must be at least 21 years of age with a valid driver license and good driving record

• Previous experience in a similar role involving vehicle maintenance preferred

• Ability to lift up to 65lbs / 35 kg on a frequent basis required

• Knowledge of cell phone applications. iOS experience preferred

• Ability to work various shifts including evenings and weekends

• Experience safely operating a pallet jack or push cart

• Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform quick and efficient repairs

• Self-motivated with and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage daily tasks

• A safety-oriented mindset, capable of conducting rigorous quality checks

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with team members Adaptability to work outdoors and indoors in line with company needs and objectives

• Ability to safely ride a bike and other Lime vehicles
