Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services Group seeks a part-time In Community Therapist to assess needs and deliver evidenced-based behavioral health services to youth and their families in a community setting. The role includes designing clinical interventions, teaching staff, and active participation on the treatment team to promote independence in the community.

The position requires a Master’s degree in a behavioral science field and licensure (LAC/LSW/LPC/LCSW), with certification in Strength and Needs

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a behavioral science field approved for clinical licensure.
• Must hold one of the following licenses: LAC, LSW, LPC or LCSW.
• Maintain ongoing licensure and continuing education per credentialing board.
• Must secure Strength and Needs Assessment certification within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assess need for treatment and document findings.
• Deliver clinical behavioral health services to youth and families in the community.
• Design and provide clinical interventions and supervise staff as needed.
• Participate on the treatment team to help youths reach independence in the community.
• Cooperate with DCF staff and licensee during inspections or investigations.

Job description

The In Community Therapist will assess need for treatment, document and deliver clinical evidenced- based behavioral health services to youth and their families in a community-based setting. Design and provide clinical interventions, teach staff and actively participate on the treatment team to enable youth to reach their highest levels of independence in the community. Will perform all duties necessary to meet state approved objectives, including the requirement that the employee cooperate with the licensee and Department of Children and Families (DCF) staff in any inspection or investigation. Plans, organizes, and implements clinical social work/counseling services including psychotherapy to Consumers and families under the clinical supervision of a qualified supervisor.Hours:Part-time; eligible for NJ Earned Sick TimeEducation/Experience:Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or other behavioral science program approved for clinical licensure. Must have either a LAC, LSW, LPC or LCSW. Maintain professional license and continuing education requirements as per their credentialing board.
