Job summary

MBE CPAs is seeking an experienced Auditor in Chandler, AZ to lead audit engagements and mentor staff. You will plan, perform and review procedures while maintaining strong client relationships and delivering high-quality reporting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in public accounting, a Bachelor’s in Accounting, and CPA consideration. On-site preferred, with hybrid/remote options for experienced talent.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of audit experience in a public accounting firm.
• Experience supervising or mentoring staff during audits.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification desired or ability to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of assigned audits, coordinating workflow and schedules.

What's the role?

• Analyzing client financial records to identify potential accounting issues and performing research to present proposed solutions.
• Planning and performing audit procedures in accordance with applicable accounting and auditing standards.
• Taking ownership of assigned audit engagements, including coordinating workflow and helping ensure work is completed accurately and on schedule.
• Supervising, training, and mentoring staff accountants and audit associates throughout audit engagements.
• Reviewing work prepared by staff and providing constructive feedback and guidance.
• Building new and strengthening existing client relationships while developing a strong understanding of clients' businesses.
• Communicating with clients throughout engagements to request information, discuss findings, and help address accounting or financial reporting questions.
• Collaborating with Audit Managers and Partners to successfully complete client engagements.

What experience and skills do I need to be successful?

• 3+ years of audit experience at a public accounting firm.
• Previous experience supervising, reviewing, or providing guidance to staff during audit engangements.
• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting.
• CPA certification highly desired or ability to attain.
• Candidates that are willing to work onsite preferred, but wiling to consider hybrid/remote work for experienced talent.
