Job summary

Everforth Apex Systems is seeking a skilled field engineer in New Berlin, WI, to design and install in-building broadband networks. Hybrid work arrangement, with in-office and remote duties, and frequent vendor coordination.

The role emphasizes hands-on construction, testing of coax/Cat6a cabling, and producing accurate project documentation while supporting field engineering and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on experience with in-building network design and installation.
• Must identify hazards and prevent them in work areas.
• Knowledge of CATV termination points such as terminals and pedestals.
• Experience testing and troubleshooting coax and Cat6a Ethernet cabling.

Responsibilities

• Design and install in-building network equipment.
• Coordinate installation of new networks and equipment.
• Evaluate multi-tenant buildings for network compatibility.
• Manage large build projects and ensure timely execution.
• Produce as-built documentation for projects.
• Provide ad-hoc operational support to field engineering and sales teams.
• Oversee construction activities for multiple network infrastructure projects.
• Manage project finances from proposal to final delivery.
• Daily tasks include scheduling, budgeting, and vendor liaison.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and wireless site construction experience.
