Job summary

Multimatic Motorsports is seeking an experienced Race Mechanic to provide high-quality mechanical services on the IMSA Ford GT3 programme. The role requires prior motorsport experience and a history of working to high standards, both at the race track and in the workshop, with extended hours and some weekend work.

The candidate will oversee mechanical assembly areas, maintain meticulous workmanship, and collaborate with Crew Chief and Team Principal to optimize race car preparation for two IMSA

Qualifications

• Experience in motorsports at high level; IMSA experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical skills with emphasis on race cars.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to interact with all levels of employees in a multicultural environment.
• Authorized to work in the USA; willingness to travel with the team.

Responsibilities

• Provide highest level of workmanship on Multimatic GT programs.
• Oversee assigned areas of mechanical assembly as directed by the Crew Chief.
• Ensure all work is thorough, methodical and of the highest standard in motor racing.
• Establish knowledge of GTD/GT3 class products and assembly requirements.
• Report quality issues and part anomalies that could affect assembly or performance.
• Organize tools and parts to ensure efficiency.
• Assist Crew Chiefs in workload planning and sub-assembly tasks.
• Develop safe methods to optimize race car assembly and preparation.
• Support teammates in achieving the highest level of workmanship.
• Identify problem areas in assembly and report to chief mechanic.
• Perform tasks as requested by team principal.
• Provide support for pit stops under direction of the crew chief.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Communicate effectively with team members.
• This team campaigns two cars in IMSA but operates as one team.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
