Import Export Manager (Remote, United States)

We are currently seeking an ambitious pace‑setter to join our team as a Import Export Manager.

Compensation

$80,000–$90,000 per year.

Role Commitments

• Develop & execute new audit valuation process for compliance & clearance.
• Develop & execute best‑in‑class reconciliation process and start executing post entries flagged for recon.
• HTS classification reviewed and database updated, and executed.
• Custom broker partner RFP for best‑in‑class performance and partnership.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure Compliance: develop and manage processes and manuals to meet U.S. and international trade laws, and lead a compliance committee team.
• Lead the Team: supervise trade compliance and brokerage operations.
• Navigate Regulations: keep apprised of developments in international trade laws, including updates to duties, tariffs and applicable trade agreements.
• Solve Problems: work with customs officials, shippers and internal teams to resolve issues.
• Manage Documentation: oversee accurate and timely trade filings, internal document storage, KPI dashboards, and SOPs.
• Optimize Processes: enhance trade workflows, risk management, and compliance manuals.
• Post Entry Solutions: support post‑summary audits and execute PSC and reconciliation filings.
• Classify Imports: determine the correct Harmonized Tariff classification and maintain the centralized HTS database.
• Origin Reviews: direct Country of Origin reviews and ensure compliance with trade agreements.

Education & Experience

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in import/export, customs compliance, or trade management.
• Experience with ACE Portal, trade compliance systems, and SAP.
• Deep understanding of U.S. Customs regulations, tariffs, and trade laws (ITAR, EAR, HTS).
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certifications in customs/trade compliance.
• ERP experience.
• Knowledge of cross‑border trade, specifically U.S.‑Mexico and Canada.
