IMPORT DOCUMENT ANALYST (Customs Brokerage)

States (only) for remote work: We are based in MD and SC, but you can live in FL, NJ, PA, NY, NC, GA, or VA. Headquarters is located in Locust Point, Maryland (Baltimore County).

Role Overview: As an Import Document Analyst, you will manage an end-to-end desk handling trucking, billing, traffic, steamship lines, ISF filings, Customs exams, and providing exceptional customer service. You will be an integral part of our team, supporting our clients' business goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide excellent customer service in a dynamic environment.
  • Learn and stay updated on U.S. Customs regulations.
  • Manage vendor relations, internal communications, and industry monitoring.
  • Handle customs entries and client communications from file opening to billing.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Professional, ethical behavior and adherence to company procedures.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills.
  • Proficiency with computer tools such as Excel, Office, and proprietary databases.
  • Resourceful, organized, detail-oriented, and team-oriented.
  • Reliable, punctual, and disciplined to follow SOPs.
  • Ability to multitask under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
Experience and Education:
  • Minimum 1-2 years in customs brokerage or import entry, with experience in ISF, trucking, billing, and customer service. Ocean freight experience is essential; air freight is a plus.
  • Preferred background in Supply Chain Logistics or International Business.
  • At least 1 year with PC applications, databases, and vendor systems.
  • Experience with OGA regulations (FDA, USDA, FCC, DOT) is desirable.

Employment Details: Full-time, non-exempt position with an annual salary of $48,000 - $58,000.
