Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced import/export coordinator to manage routing, documentation, and carrier coordination for international shipments. You will prepare bills of lading, liaise with airlines, trucks, and warehouses, and ensure on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with export/import regulations.

You will handle quotes for customers, coordinate with global agents, and process in-transit shipments from origin to Latin America, including bonded cargo and import/export

Formación

• Experience handling import/export documents such as bills of lading and licenses.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements for import/export and HS codes.
• Ability to coordinate with airlines, trucking companies and warehouses.

Responsabilidades

• Coordinate routing and rating of cargo and provide quotes to customers.
• Manage import processes, including bonded and in-transit cargo.
• Contact airlines for notices, follow up with truckers and warehouses for pickups and deliveries.
• Ensure on-time delivery through proactive communication with customers.
• Prepare and distribute import/export documents to relevant parties.
• Review shipping documents and export regulations and resolve shipment issues.
• Handle export arrangements including bookings, insurance, banking, and transport.

Coordinates aspects of the routing and rating of cargo; providing quotes to customers, working with international agents, scheduling pick-ups and deliveries.
Experienced with in-transit shipments from China to Latin America.

Handling full import process (regular Import and In Transit - bonded cargo)
Determines best methods for shipping to ensure customer satisfaction, cost-efficiency.

Contacting airlines for arrival notices and cargo availability

Following up with truckers and warehouses regarding airport pickup - door delivery.
Constant communication with customers to ensure on time delivery. Produces relative documentation to secure the release of import consolidations from carriers; handles all turnover documents to corresponding shipment broker, as well as internal transfer and in-bond movements. Completes export arrangements for customers, including bookings, container arrangements, insurance, banking and transportation companies (ocean and trucking). Reviews/prepares import and/or export documents including: bills of lading, dock receipts, licenses, and consulate documents and distributes documents to all appropriate parties.
Reviews shipping documents and routing details with an understanding of export regulations (such as export licenses and customs declarations, harmonized codes, etc.). Proactively resolves customer shipment problems; seeks alternative solutions. Ability to multitask in a fast paced, time sensitive environment.
Understands the importance of regulatory compliance throughout the entire import/export process.
