Job summary

Daimler Truck North America is seeking an Import Entry Review Analyst II in Portland, OR. You will support our import compliance program, analyze data, investigate exceptions, and drive corrective actions with brokers and internal teams to reduce risk and improve data quality.

The role collaborates with Trade Compliance, Customs Operations, Procurement, and Finance, leveraging Palantir and automated controls to strengthen the control environment. Hybrid schedule offered.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent education/experience.
  • Experience reviewing, analyzing, or validating data to identify trends, discrepancies, or improvement opportunities.
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel and other business applications to organize and analyze information.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the Trade Compliance import mailbox and serve as a primary contact for brokers, carriers, suppliers, and internal partners.
  • Analyze exception reports, data trends, and quality indicators to identify potential compliance concerns.
  • Review import transaction data and supporting documentation to validate accuracy of entry information.
  • Investigate discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions with brokers and stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance on import requirements, entry data, documentation, and classification support.
  • Prioritize and manage review activities based on deadlines and risk.
  • Validate that identified issues have been resolved and corrective actions completed.
  • Analyze recurring issues and recommend process improvements and stronger controls.
  • Develop and maintain reports, metrics, dashboards, and performance measurements.
  • Support automated monitoring tools and cross-functional collaboration.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, Data Analytics, or related field
