Overview

Crane Aerospace and Electronics has an exciting opportunity for an Import Compliance Analyst at our Lynnwood, WA location.

Crane Aerospace & Electronics supplies critical systems and components to the aerospace and defense markets. Located in the epicenter of United States aviation manufacturing, our Lynnwood facility delivers industry-leading aerospace & defense power, sensing and fluid solutions. Our products are rugged enough to fly 5 billion miles from Earth on NASA’s New Horizons spacecraft and are featured on Advanced Air Mobility demonstrators. You’ll join a group of aerospace professionals committed to engineering excellence and work in a community tucked between the Puget Sound and Cascade Mountains.

Job Summary: The Import Compliance Analyst (ICA) supports the site’s import compliance program, with direction from the Group/Site Export Compliance Manager. The ICA assists with training documentation and delivery, confirms part classification, audits imports, and assists in monitoring to Group and local policies. Works cross-functionally with other departments to coordinate adherence to internal policies and federal import regulations.

Responsibilities
  • Provides import compliance data-entry support, including import compliance licensing and review part classification compliance within ERP system
  • Ensure applicable import compliance requirements are adhered to partnering with cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, operations, supply chain, HR, etc.
  • Supports group and corporate import compliance initiatives, both at the local site level and in close coordination with peers at other A&E sites. Shares experiences and collaborates across sites to improve the compliance posture of the A&E system as a whole
  • Participates in group- and company-wide calls, meetings and initiatives
  • Other tasks as assigned by supervisor or management
Eligibility and Qualifications

Eligibility: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information. Where the position requires such access only US Persons will be considered. As a US Department of Defense contractor, we are bound by International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

Minimum Qualifications
  • Experience: 1-3 years of relevant work experience
  • Knowledge: Understands fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of relevant regulations and import compliance functions
  • Skill: Demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively and in handling multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent organization, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Ability: Ability to work effectively across functional teams
  • Education/Certification: Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Import compliance experience
  • Experience in working with ERP systems
Working Conditions and Benefits
  • Standard office environment in a manufacturing company
  • Work requires substantial visual concentration on detail
  • Occasionally visiting the manufacturing environment may require the use of safety equipment such as eye-safety glasses, hearing protection, heel/wrist straps and others, and may cause occasional exposure to unusual environmental conditions such as loud noises, cold temperatures, dust or fumes

Standing: 10% (approximate) • Sitting: 90% (approximate) • Lifting up to 10 pounds • Pushing up to 10 pounds • Mental/Visual: use of computer, telephone, calculator, filing cabinets

Salary range: $83,245.00 – $102,258.80. Several factors contribute to actual salary, including experience and qualifications. Some roles may be eligible for performance-based bonuses.
