Job summary

Abbott Laboratories is seeking an Implementation Support Specialist to drive successful deployments of the i-STAT System in hospitals across designated territories. The role is field-based with 75% travel, including overnight trips, and requires close collaboration with IPMs and customer stakeholders to optimize patient care workflows.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a medical/clinical field or related experience is required.
  • 3–4 years of field experience in a related setting is required.
  • Willingness to travel 75% of the time, including overnight travel, with eligibility for a company car.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Salesforce CRM is expected.
  • Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and execute performance verifications, user training, and go‑live support within each implementation case.
  • Complete administrative tasks including project notes, milestone dates, and expense reporting.
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders in accounts; articulate benefits of point‑of‑care testing.
  • Demonstrate thorough product knowledge and conduct product demonstrations.

Abbott Point of Care has an exciting opportunity for an **Implementation Support Specialist (ISS)**.The role is field-based, remote within the territory of California, Nevada, Arizona, and Colorado with 75% local travel.The ISS will be a part of a dynamic field support service team responsible for driving the successful implementation and verification of our products within Hospitals within assigned geographical regions. Key responsibilities will include collaborating with lead IPMs, providing best-in-class execution of implementation activities and tasks to support the company's portfolio of products, and engaging with key personnel to restructure customer processes to facilitate better patient care with the company's products.
