Job summary

Merilsoft is seeking an Implementation & Support Engineer to bring new sites live on Pacific POS and stay the line when issues arise during service. You’ll migrate data, configure the system to current operations, train staff, and stand behind the switch on day one.

Beyond onboarding, you’ll diagnose problems, fix what you can, and provide engineering with precise reports for unresolved issues. You’ll be the calm voice the restaurant relies on in a busy dinner service.

Qualifications

• Technical ability to read logs and run queries to diagnose issues.
• Calm, clear communication on the phone during incidents.
• Hospitality or retail operations experience is a genuine advantage.

Responsibilities

• Onboard new sites: migrate data, configure the system, train staff, and support the live switch.
• Diagnose problems, fix what you can, and provide engineering with precise reports for unresolved issues.
• Be the calm voice customers rely on during mid-service outages.

# Implementation & Support EngineerGet new sites live on Pacific POS and be the person who actually fixes it when a restaurant calls mid-service — the role the whole product depends on.* Melville, New York · On-site* Full-time## What the work isOnboarding new sites: migrating their existing data, configuring the system around how they already work, training staff, and standing behind the switch on the first day of live service. Then supporting those sites — diagnosing a problem, fixing what you can, and handing engineering a report precise enough to act on when you cannot.This is not a script-reading job. A point of sale that fails during dinner service is an emergency for the business on the other end, and the person answering has to understand the system well enough to be useful in the first five minutes.## What we look forTechnical enough to read a log, run a query and reason about what a system is doing. Calm enough to be the voice on the phone when somebody is having a bad night.
