The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) invites applications for a tenure-track Associate Professor to lead a new Implementation Science Initiative within the Hollings Cancer Center's Cancer Prevention and Control Program. This role emphasizes translating scientific discoveries into real-world cancer prevention, screening, treatment, and survivorship improvements across South Carolina and beyond.

The successful candidate will provide leadership, mentorship, and strategic partnerships,

Qualifications

PhD, MD, DO, DrPH, ScD or equivalent degree with training in implementation science, medicine, epidemiology, public health, informatics and data science, nursing, psychology, anthropology, behavioral science, health services, health economics, communication, decision sciences, sociology, or related fields.
Extensive cancer-relevant and implementation science research experience.
Extensive peer-reviewed publication experience, commensurate with career stage.

Responsibilities

Lead the new Implementation Science Initiative within the HCC Cancer Prevention and Control Program and support DPHS.
Apply implementation science methods and frameworks to optimize cancer prevention and control innovations.
Foster collaborations with clinicians, researchers, community partners, and health systems across South Carolina.
