We are looking for Payroll Implementation Consultants with the customer service and technical skills to assist our new clients through a smooth transition to their new payroll provider, Paylocity. This position will appeal to you if you are someone with strong attention to detail, computer skills, and a multi-tasker who loves interacting with clients and providing exceptional customer service! This position is eligible for working remotely with current or past payroll implementation experience.

Position Overview:

The Implementation Consultant is responsible for understanding a client’s needs and configuring our applications to meet those needs, which includes converting HR and payroll data from a client’s previous provider, testing the system set-up and data conversion, including balancing totals, quarterly returns, and supporting our client’s until their transition to the Client Services team. Our reputation has been built on the foundation of an overall commitment to customer service, and this position is responsible for maintaining this commitment within our Implementation area.

Performance Objectives
  • Welcome all new clients to Paylocity and ensure they have a seamless transition to our product.
  • Provide a consultative approach to determine client’s requirements, providing industry best practices where applicable.
  • Coordinate internally between the client and multiple Paylocity departments to ensure clients have every tool needed to use our service to its fullest extent.
  • Facilitate the extract and loading of previous payroll provider data.
  • 100% responsibility for the client until they are comfortable with our service.
  • Follow balancing procedures to ensure that all data that is converted.
  • Perform quality assurance checks to ensure that all setup work has been completed accurately.

The Implementation Consultant will be required to work overtime throughout the year, especially during the last two weeks of each quarter, as well as the end of the year during the months of December and January, to assist our clients.

Experience and Skills:
Experience Requirements
  • Previous Payroll Experience is strongly recommended – payroll knowledge will help you determine what a client is currently doing and how we can improve upon that process for them.
  • Multi-tasking – We work in a matrix environment, meaning that you will be working on more than one client at a time, although each client may be at a different phase in the project (i.e., start-up, configuration, production). The ability to multi-task is essential as you shift focus from one client to another.
  • Attention to detail – Working in a matrix environment, attention to detail is key to your success at Paylocity. Additionally, reviewing our client’s data and asking the question behind the question enhances our client’s usage of our products.
  • Proficiency in MS office – Our products are based upon Access and SQL databases. Knowledge of these will help you during electronic data conversions.
  • Experience working in a service bureau is highly desirable!
