Job summary

NVIDIA Corporation is seeking an Implementation Methodology Engineer to join the VLSI team in Santa Clara, CA. You will own front-end design implementation methodologies, including synthesis, formal equivalence checking, and flow automation, to improve power, performance and area on critical designs.

You will collaborate with logic and physical designers and EDA vendors, providing tool support and developing new solutions.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years in logic design implementation or physical design implementation.
• Deep understanding of optimization trade-offs for area, timing and power.
• Strong knowledge of physical design flows including synthesis, placement, routing and logic restructuring.
• Power user of EDA tools from Synopsys (DC/FC) and Cadence (Genus/Innovus).
• Strong debugging and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Own front-end design implementation methodologies (synthesis, formal-equivalence-checking) and flow automation.
• Collaborate with logic designers, physical designers and EDA vendors to improve power, performance and area.
• Provide tool support and develop new flows and solutions.
