Role Description

Zócalo Health is seeking an Implementation Manager to support the launch and oversight of new Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial contracts in their first year. This person will be the main contact between Zócalo and health plans, ensuring contractual and operational alignment.

This role requires collaboration across departments, including Operations, Product, Tech, Growth, and Marketing. The candidate must lead effectively, build partnerships, and have deep expertise in health plan contract implementation in dynamic environments.

The position reports to the Director of Implementation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Implementation & Oversight: Lead operations for new contracts, translate requirements into workflows, and support service delivery.
  • Health Plan Liaison: Act as the main contact for health plan partners, manage communication, track metrics, and escalate issues.
  • Operational Alignment: Coordinate staffing, workflows, SOPs, and training to meet contractual needs; monitor execution and make adjustments.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with various teams to ensure smooth rollout and maintain documentation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, public health, or related fields; Master’s preferred.
  • 5+ years in healthcare operations, with 3+ years in health plan implementations.
  • Experience working with health plans, including contract execution and performance tracking.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and lead without formal authority.
  • Familiarity with health plan portals, reporting systems, and EHRs (e.g., Athena).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
