Job summary

Fast Enterprises is seeking an Implementation Intern to participate in the full project lifecycle from requirements gathering through production support, with much work performed at client sites. The role requires strong technical and communication skills, including experience with VB.Net or C#, and SQL.

Interns will configure software to meet agency needs, collaborate with teams, and relocate across the US for summer projects, gaining hands-on government software implementations.

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate student in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or Engineering.
• 3.0 minimum GPA.
• Experience in a .NET or similar development environment.
• Exposure to SQL in Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or a similar DBMS.
• Openness to relocating for the summer to US project locations with relocation assistance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Enthusiasm to take on challenges and learn from others.

Responsibilities

• Consult with agencies to understand business needs and how to implement FAST software.
• Deliver information clearly at high and technical levels when applicable.
• Work with the team to solve problems and adapt to changing requirements.
• Identify and investigate complex issues to develop solutions.
• Configure client-specific functionality beyond out-of-the-box features using FAST tools and VB.Net or C#.
• Create and modify SQL queries to retrieve data from relational databases.
• Implement new features and navigate testing and deployment.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies when handling protected data.
