Job summary

Valencia College in Orlando is hiring a full-time Implementation Coordinator to join the Student Development team on the East campus. You will coordinate programs that support student success, manage Welcome Team, Wellness Ambassadors and Valencia Volunteers, and help ensure smooth daily operations.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, the ability to work independently and with a team, and solid Microsoft Office knowledge are essential.

Valencia College is now hiring a full-time Implementation Coordinator to join the Student Development department team on the East campus. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative and organized professional who is passionate about supporting student success, coordinating programs, and contributing to a vibrant campus experience.

In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact through student leadership support, training and onboarding, event and project management, communications, marketing, office operations, and cross-department collaboration, while helping ensure the smooth day-to-day operations of Student Development.

Essential Job Functions

Description of Job Function

1. Coordinate Valencia Volunteers, Welcome Team, and/or Wellness Ambassadors to include but not limited to:
a. Maintain appropriate communication with Student Development colleagues, students, staff, and volunteer organizations; b. Interview, screen, and refer applicants to appropriate volunteer opportunities as applicable; c. Organize special events as necessary and applicable; d. Create and utilize a system to maintain, document, and record student volunteer opportunities as applicable; e. Prepare materials to publicize and support departmental programs; f. Recruit/advise students regarding campus student development opportunities; g. Prepare materials to publicize and support departmental programs; h. Plan and execute appropriate orientation and training programs for student leaders and event participants; i. Conduct presentations to New Student Experience classes regarding Student Development offerings and opportunities; j. Collect and manage feedback from college and community volunteers and partners; k. Prepare reports as directed.
2. Co-advise student teams within the Student Development office as necessary.
3. Assist with the daily operation of the Student Development office.
4. Prepare and manage campus-based student development budgets for campus operations, leadership programming, events/activities, departmental programs, etc.
5. Assist the Assistant Director of Student Development as directed, necessary, and applicable.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

General Working Conditions

This job primarily operates in a professional office environment. The employee will routinely operate standard office equipment including but not limited to computers, keyboards, mouse, phones, photocopiers, printers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
Typical physical competencies include but are not limited to frequently remaining stationary, moving, reaching, positioning self and occasionally ascending/descending, lifting/moving objects weighing between 5-15 pounds. This job also entails frequently communicating, discerning and exchanging information, detecting and perceiving objects up close, at a distance, and the ability to adjust focus.
