Job summary

SpectrumCareers is seeking an experienced NetSuite consultant to help the Finance team budget, forecast, and report more effectively. You’ll collaborate with Finance and Accounting leadership to understand needs and implement solutions in NetSuite, including new implementations and refining existing setups.

This role blends hands-on system work with advisory duties, working with auditors and translating complex finance requirements into practical NetSuite processes.

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on NetSuite experience with implementation or optimization.
• Strong budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting background.
• Solid understanding of GL, month-end close, and financial controls.
• Comfortable bridging accounting and technical NetSuite work.
• Experience advising Finance and Accounting leadership.
• Experience supporting external audits.
• Ability translate complex finance requirements into practical NetSuite solutions.
• Excellent communication; able to work independently with multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Lead NetSuite implementation and improvement projects for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
• Review NetSuite setup, workflows, reports, and processes; propose improvements.
• Meet with Finance leaders to gather requirements and build NetSuite solutions.
• Build/refine financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and budgeting tools.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes.
• Serve as liaison between Finance and technical resources.
• Advise on best practices and automate manual tasks where possible.
• Assist with integrations, data flows, workflows, and saved searches.
• Troubleshoot system and reporting issues; collaborate with auditors.
• Document configurations, controls, and reporting methods; improve data accuracy.

Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced NetSuite consultant to help improve how their Finance team budgets, forecasts, and reports. You'll work directly with Finance and Accounting leadership to understand what they need, then build it in NetSuite. Some of that will be new implementation work, and some will be cleaning up and improving what's already in place.

This role is a mix of hands-on system work and advising.

What You'll Do

• Lead NetSuite implementation and improvement projects, mainly around budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Review the current NetSuite setup, including workflows, reports, and processes, and recommend improvements
• Meet with Finance and Accounting leaders to gather requirements and turn them into working solutions in NetSuite
• Build and refine financial reports, dashboards, KPIs, and budgeting tools
• Support the budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis process
• Act as the go-between for the Finance team and technical resources
• Recommend best practices and find ways to automate manual work
• Help with integrations, data flows, workflows, and saved searches as needed
• Troubleshoot system and reporting issues
• Work with external auditors on system, reporting, and process questions
• Document processes, configurations, controls, and reporting methods
• Look for ways to tighten internal controls and improve data accuracy

What We're Looking For

• Significant hands-on NetSuite experience, including implementation or optimization work
• Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
• Solid understanding of the GL, month-end close, and financial controls
• Comfortable working on both the accounting side and the technical side of NetSuite
• Experience advising Finance and Accounting leadership
• Experience supporting external audits
• Able to take complex finance requirements and turn them into practical system solutions
• Strong communicator who can work independently and juggle multiple priorities in a client-facing role
