You will lead implementation activities with the partner, evaluate recommendations, and bridge business requirements with system functionality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support NetSuite implementation activities with the implementation partner.

• Assist with accounting operations including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Month-end activities.
• Support process improvement and scalable reporting practices.
• Work in a small accounting team and provide immediate support.
• Document business processes, system requirements, and decisions.

Job description

Our client is seeking a NetSuite Implementation Consultant to serve as a key partner during a critical phase of growth and system transformation. This individual will act as a trusted advisor to leadership, helping drive a NetSuite implementation while also providing hands-on accounting support for a lean accounting team.

The ideal candidate will bring a blend of NetSuite implementation expertise and accounting knowledge, allowing them to support both the technical and operational sides of the business. This role offers the opportunity to become the hiring manager's "right hand," providing guidance, challenging implementation recommendations when appropriate, and ensuring the organization achieves a successful NetSuite deployment.

This is an initial 6-month engagement with the possibility of extension and/or conversion to a permanent position.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support ongoing NetSuite implementation activities in partnership with the implementation partner.
• Serve as the internal NetSuite subject matter expert and advocate for the business throughout the implementation process.
• Evaluate recommendations from implementation partners and provide constructive feedback when necessary to ensure business objectives are met.
• Collaborate closely with leadership to align NetSuite functionality with operational and financial requirements.
• Assist with accounting operations as needed, including:
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • General Ledger activities
  • Month-end support
  • Financial data validation and reconciliation
• Support process improvement initiatives and help establish scalable accounting and reporting practices.
• Work effectively within a small accounting team environment and provide immediate support.
• Document business processes, system requirements, and implementation decisions.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience leading or supporting NetSuite ERP implementations.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial operations.
• Experience working closely with accounting and finance teams.
• Ability to bridge the gap between business requirements and system functionality.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with limited oversight.
• Ability to challenge assumptions and provide thoughtful recommendations when appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

• Combination of NetSuite implementation and accounting experience.
• Background in service-based organizations.
• Experience supporting small to mid-sized businesses.
• Prior experience working with implementation partners or consulting firms.
