Job Summary:

The Implementation Consultant, Emergency Operations owns the configuration, deployment, and customer enablement of First Due's field response and operations modules: Pre-Planning, Responder, Hydrants, and Command. The role serves Core agencies in standard pairing with an Implementation Manager, provides on-call complex-configuration support to Essentials, and contributes to Enterprise engagements. These modules put First Due in the field and on the apparatus. The role demands working knowledge of fire ground operations, incident command, pre-incident planning, and water supply, and the ability to configure mobile and map-based tools that responders rely on during active incidents.

Key Responsibilities:
Module configuration and delivery
  • Configure Pre-Planning, including occupancy and building records, hazards, tactical information, and pre-incident plans aligned to NFPA 1620 practice.
  • Configure Responder for mobile incident response, including unit response views, dispatch and AVL information, and field access to occupancy and pre-plan data.
  • Configure Hydrants, including hydrant inventory, flow testing records, and water supply data aligned to NFPA 291 practice.
  • Configure Command for incident command and accountability, including tactical worksheets and on-scene workflows.
Project execution and product partnership
  • Partner with the assigned Implementation Manager to deliver milestones on plan, surfacing risks early.
  • Maintain accurate project status, level-of-effort actuals, and configuration documentation in Rocketlane.
  • Partner with Technical Services on CAD and AVL data flows relevant to Responder and Command.
  • Surface product gaps, defects, and enhancement requests for the cluster to the Team Manager and Product organization.
Qualifications:
  • Three or more years of customer-facing implementation, configuration, or professional services experience in a SaaS environment, or equivalent operational experience in a fire or public safety agency.
  • Strong public safety industry knowledge, including fire ground operations, incident command structures, pre-incident planning, and water supply.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of field response workflows and the operational contexts in which mobile response tools are used.
  • Familiarity with GIS and mapping concepts as applied to occupancies, hydrants, and response data.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent customer projects.
  • Excellent communication, training delivery, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience with Rocketlane or a comparable professional services delivery platform.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Direct experience as a firefighter, company officer, training officer, or fire service GIS or pre-planning coordinator.
  • Working knowledge of NFPA 1620 (pre-incident planning) and NFPA 291 (fire flow testing and hydrant marking).
  • Experience with GIS platforms, or with mobile data terminal and field-response applications.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, including account data hygiene and project handoff from sales.
  • PMP, ITIL, or equivalent professional certification.
