Job summary

Bottomline, a global leader in business payments and cash management, seeks an Implementation Consultant to join our Portsmouth, NH team on a hybrid basis. You will manage client projects from initiation through implementation, collaborating with cross-functional teams in the U.S.

and North America. The ideal candidate has 2–4+ years in payments/fintech project roles, strong communication, and experience with MS Project and Excel.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of the project through the full lifecycle from initiation to implementation.
• Create and maintain an end-to-end project plan delivering scope on time, budget and quality.
• Coordinate day-to-day project activities to achieve milestones.
• Maintain accurate project status and financial reporting for the project team.
• Provide timely, precise project reporting to internal teams and customers.
• Build client relationships by applying expert knowledge and experience.
• Analyze client requirements and implement appropriate solutions.
• Identify problems and institute corrective action.
• Serve as central contact between clients and internal teams for data documents.
• Document client processes and configurations for handover to Support.
• Identify and plan training requirements based on products and knowledge.
• Host weekly client project review meetings and document outcomes.
• Execute changes efficiently and cost-effectively while maximizing revenue.

The Role

We’re looking for an Implementation Consultant to grow and succeed with us in our Portsmouth, NH office (Hybrid/2 days a month in Portsmouth, NH).

Candidates for this position must be authorized to work in the United States on a Full-Time/Permanent basis for any employer without restriction. Visa Sponsorships or Transfers of Visa’s WILL NOT be provided for this position.

We are seeking an Implementation Consultant to join our Paymode Payment Portal Team who will report to our Director of Service and Delivery, Treasury. In this role, you will support our Paymode and Global PTX Payment Hub. In this role will support our Payment Portal business customers while collaborating with cross-functional teams in the U.S. and North America.

The ideal candidate will have experience in project roles in Payments/Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a Fintech/Software environment. They will also have excellent communication skills, client/customer-facing experience, and knowledge of payments or a cash management environment.

How you’ll contribute

• Manage the delivery of the project through the full project lifecycle, from initiation through to implementation.
• Create and maintain an end-to-end project plan that delivers the agreed scope of the project to time, budget and quality criteria.
• Be actively involved in the delivery of each project by coordinating the day to day running of the project to ensure it achieves its expected milestones.
• Maintain accurate project status and project financial reporting for the entire project team.
• Ability to provide timely, precise, accurate and comprehensive project reporting both internally and externally to customers.
• Providing excellent client care and building a working relationship with your clients by demonstrating expert knowledge and experience.
• Anaylyzing client requirements and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Identifying potential problems and instigating corrective action.
• Acting as a central point of contact between clients and internal teams, ensuring that build data documents are completed and acted upon in an accurate and timely fashion.
• Documenting client processes and their configuration for a clear handover to the Support Team.
• Identifying and planning the training requirements of the client based on their products and services and current levels of knowledge.
• Hosting weekly client project review meetings and documenting their outcomes.
• Using your knowledge and experience to complete change in as efficient and cost-effective way as possible.
• Understanding what the client has paid for and generating additional charges where necessary to maximize revenue.

• 2-4+ of experience working in a project role within a similarPayments/Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable /Cash Management/FinTechsoftware environment.
• Comfortability with the MS Suite, Excel, MS Project, etc.
• Solid project and change management skills (Prince2, Six Sigma, etc.).
• Exceptional overall planning, organizational and prioritization skills.
• Experienced in customer focus and stakeholder management, comfortable building relationships up to senior/exec/board level.
• Ability to influence and build robust business rationale that may affect a change in direction of a project or program.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a confident nature.
• Strong commercial awareness, with the ability to maximize revenue and profitability for the business.
