We partner with dental professionals across the country to deliver world-class restorations, advanced dental equipment, and trusted services that make a difference for patients every day.

At SKDLA, we combine craftsmanship, cutting‑edge technology, and a deep commitment to quality to create beautiful, lasting results. More than just a dental lab, we are driven by the belief that every restoration represents a person’s confidence, comfort, and well‑being - and that’s a responsibility we take to heart.

Our operations are centered around two advanced Centers of Excellence located in Orange County and Los Angeles. This collaborative environment allows our skilled technicians to innovate, mentor one another, and consistently deliver outstanding results.

Overview:

As our Implant Specialist, you will serve as the technical leader for our Implant Department, overseeing advanced implant restoration design and fabrication while ensuring every case meets the highest standards of precision, fit, function, and aesthetics. This role is ideal for a seasoned implant professional who thrives in a digital laboratory environment and is excited to lead teams, optimize workflows, collaborate closely with clinicians, and drive quality outcomes across complex implant cases.

What You’ll Be Responsible For:
  • Utilize advanced implant planning software (e.g., 3Shape, exocad, or equivalent) and traditional techniques to design crowns, bridges, abutments, and full‑arch implant restorations.
  • Interpret clinical prescriptions, lab slips, impressions, scans, and digital files to develop highly accurate restorations.
  • Oversee fabrication workflows to ensure consistent adherence to specifications and quality benchmarks.
  • Lead the daily operations of the Implant Department, supervising, mentoring, and training team members while coordinating workflow and production priorities.
  • Collaborate with dentists, laboratory leadership, and cross‑functional teams to align restoration designs with treatment plans.
  • Provide technical guidance on advanced implant procedures, materials, workflows, and emerging technologies.
  • Conduct rigorous quality inspections to ensure restorations meet exacting standards for accuracy, fit, strength, and aesthetics.
  • Troubleshoot technical challenges across design and fabrication stages, implementing corrective actions when needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all laboratory safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory protocols.
  • Maintain and calibrate CAD/CAM workstations and digital design equipment to support operational excellence.
  • Monitor inventory of implant components and materials, escalating shortages or issues to management.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to remain at the forefront of implant innovations and best practices.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by lab leadership.
Who We’re Looking For:
  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience with dental laboratory implant procedures and advanced restoration techniques.
  • Advanced working knowledge of implant dentistry, including surgical components, restorative design, and materials.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time‑management capabilities with the ability to prioritize in a fast‑paced production environment.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a high‑performance team setting.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement, process excellence, and adherence to SKDLA quality standards.
  • Experience handling complex implant cases and advanced restorative workflows.
  • Exposure to emerging implant technologies, materials, and procedures.
  • Background in dental prosthetics manufacturing or related specialties.
  • Proficiency with implant planning software and CAD/CAM systems (3Shape, exocad, or equivalent).
  • Ability to accurately interpret clinical prescriptions, lab slips, scans, and technical drawings.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a passion for craftsmanship and precision.
  • Strong understanding of dental terminology and implant restoration principles.
  • Proven leadership experience with the ability to mentor, train, and motivate technical teams.
