Overview

As an Implant Process Engineer, you will own the development, optimization, and sustainment of ion implantation processes supporting high‑volume manufacturing. You will partner closely with equipment, integration, yield, and manufacturing teams to ensure robust process performance, yield stability, and safe execution in a fast‑paced fab environment.

Responsibilities
  • Own ion implantation process development and sustainment, including process specs, control plans, and inline metric targets
  • Drive yield and defect improvements using SPC, data analysis, and structured root cause techniques
  • Lead process change reviews, risk assessments, and qualifications for new or optimized implant processes
  • Collaborate with equipment engineering, integration, and vendors to align process requirements with tool capability
  • Improve learning speed and cycle time through innovative use of inline metrology and data‑driven monitoring
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Electrical, Materials, Physics, or related field)
  • 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing experience with implant process ownership or development OR equivalent military experience, OR Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
  • Ability to work on‑site in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Strong understanding of ion implantation physics, dopant activation, and device impact
  • Experience supporting high‑volume manufacturing with advanced process control requirements
  • Proven track record to analyze complex data sets and drive decisions using statistical methods
  • Familiarity with SPC, DOE, FMEA, and process qualification methodologies
  • Programming or data analysis experience (e.g., Python, JMP, SQL)
