Job Summary

Responsible for managing inventory and purchasing procedures of raw materials and other supplies within a company.

Essential Functions
  • Maintains optimum inventory levels to ensure on-time deliveries to meet customer requirements
  • Responsible for exploring new materials, suppliers, and processes to achieve the best quality, reliability, prices, and delivery
  • Establishes procedures and supervises the annual physical inventory
  • Supervises, evaluates, and coaches staff members
  • Interfaces with product line coordinators on planning and forecasting customer orders
  • Maintains relationships and negotiates with suppliers
  • Purchases supplies and materials according to specifications
  • Ensures compliance with company standards and procedures in all materials department functions
Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Materials Engineering required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? Yes.

Licenses and Credentials: 5-7 years of directly related experience required; 2-3 years in a supervisory role preferred.
