Job summary

Catalyst Mobility is seeking an experienced Web Developer to build, maintain, and optimize a portfolio of websites. You will work within the Marketing Web Team on WordPress-based sites, implement custom functionality, and ensure accessibility, security, and performance standards.

You will collaborate with marketing, design, IT, and program teams to deliver high-impact digital experiences and support ongoing migrations and a forthcoming rebrand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, web development, software engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of professional web development, including WordPress website work.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, modern JavaScript, and WordPress themes/plugins.
• Working knowledge of PHP, MySQL, REST APIs, third‑party services, and Git workflows.
• Experience with web accessibility WCAG standards and security/performance practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot across front-end, back-end, CMS, and hosting environments.
• Strong organizational and communication skills for cross‑functional work.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance websites, landing pages, and web apps using WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, and MySQL.
• Independently manage assigned web properties, including maintenance, testing, deployments, and post‑launch support.
• Build/modify WordPress themes, templates, blocks, plugins, and custom functionality.
• Translate designs into accessible, responsive experiences meeting WCAG 2.2 AA.
• Support launches, redesigns, migrations, integrations, and upcoming rebrand efforts.
• Develop and maintain REST API integrations, forms, analytics, CRM systems (Salesforce), and third‑party services.
• Collaborate with Senior Web Developer, designers, marketing, IT, and program teams throughout planning and QA.
• Monitor and improve site performance, security, accessibility, uptime, and Core Web Vitals; maintain documentation.
