Garver's Water Design Center in Fayetteville, AR invites you to join as a Process Mechanical Engineering Intern. This in-office role offers hands-on experience with water and wastewater treatment facility design, working alongside a close-knit team of engineering professionals committed to delivering tangible community solutions.

You'll assist with projects, develop drawings, estimate costs, and gain exposure to hydraulics and pumping systems using design software, while benefiting from Garver's

Qualifications

• Candidates must be pursuing a mechanical engineering, biological engineering, biosystems engineering, civil engineering, or chemical engineering degree from an ABET accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Assist with WDC projects including: New water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Rehabilitations and improvements for existing treatment facilities.
• Assist in developing drawings for various treatment processes.
• Optimize specifications for equipment and construction materials.
• Learn and use design software to model pumping systems and hydraulics.
• Develop project cost estimates.
• Develop calculations and tools to solve design problems.
• Provide peer reviews to ensure quality standards are met.
• Review contractor submittals for projects in construction.
• Attend site visits.
