Job summary

The Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations (OBO) is seeking a skilled visual designer to craft clear, impactful communications for a broad set of audiences. You will design templates, templates, graphics, and content for digital and print media used by leadership and external partners.

Responsibilities include managing social media visuals, video production, and internal/external content programs, while ensuring branding consistency and accessibility compliance across all materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 3–5 years design experience preferred.
• Experience creating visual communications for diverse audiences.
• Expert in Adobe Creative Suite with strong branding skills.
• Ability to translate complex information into engaging visuals.

Responsibilities

• Designs visual communications and materials for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Creates templates, layouts, and graphics for projects, catalogues, and fact sheets.
• Produces content for social media, interviews with leadership, and project materials.
• Manages photo archives, slides, and video content; maintains websites/SharePoint.
• Handles event video production, on-site shoots, and post-editing.
• Ensures branding and 508 compliance across communications collateral.
• Keeps equipment inventory and advises on needs; stays current with design tools.
