Berwick Academy in southern Maine is seeking an Assistant Coach for Varsity Baseball to support the Varsity and JV programs. The role involves planning practices, coaching players, and coordinating conditioning activities under the Head Coach and Athletics Director.

The position emphasizes mentoring, discipline, and adherence to NEPSAC and EIL rules, with a collaborative approach to building a strong program and student-athlete experience.

Qualifications

• Club and High School baseball coaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the overall planning and execution of the Varsity & JV Baseball program.
• Monitor and maintain the discipline and conduct of student athletes to support the image and reputation of the athletics program.
• Plan coaching and practice sessions.
• Coach team members individually and in groups, and demonstrate game techniques.
• Develop and implement game strategy and position assignments.
• Oversee the strength and conditioning programs for student athletes.
• Ensure adherence to NEPSAC & EIL rules and regulations.
• Be a mentor in baseball and life.
• Build positive relationships within the Berwick Academy community.
