Job summary

The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia invites applications for an Admission Counselor. Reporting to the Vice Provost for Enrollment, this role supports recruitment, admission and enrollment of undergraduates on a Charlottesville, VA campus.

The counselor will design presentations, advise prospective students and families, and coordinate with alumni and faculty to promote UVA admissions. Evening/weekend work is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 3+ years of experience in admissions or 8 years in lieu of degree.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends when necessary.
• Experience in higher education admissions preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver presentations for high schools and recruitment events.
• Provide guidance to prospective students and families about the application process.
• Coordinate with alumni, faculty, and other university partners in admissions.
• Plan on- and off-campus recruitment activities; host informational sessions.
• Participate on the Admissions Committee and evaluate applications for admission.
