Job summary

Leidos seeks a Paralegal Specialist – Trial Support in downtown Los Angeles to support DOJ litigation efforts with comprehensive research and discovery assistance. You will work on case analysis, production of legal documents, and trial prep in a fast-paced environment while complying with federal standards.

The role requires a paralegal certificate or JD or ABA-accredited study, 2+ years in litigation support, and US citizenship with ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.

Qualifications

• Paralegal certificate or JD or ABA-accredited law school with at least one year of study.
• 2+ years of litigation paralegal experience or related project work.
• Experience with federal and state court procedures and legal research resources.
• Strong knowledge of LEXIS and Westlaw; proficient with word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and imaging tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform specialized legal research and writing on criminal or civil matters, including statutes and precedents.
• Utilize automated resources for case research and electronic discovery.
• Assist in referrals, legal analysis, and preparing documentation for attorney review and court submissions.
• Support pretrial tasks: discovery organization, witness coordination, and exhibit indexing.
