Responsibilities

• Reports to main office upon arrival at the school.
• Implements prepared lesson plans.
• Maintains order and discipline to foster a safe learning environment.
• Completes attendance and records accurately.
• Fulfills duties of the classroom teacher for four+ consecutive weeks.
• Monitors student interaction and keeps students on task.
• Ensures productive use of academic time and motivates learning.
• Maintains routines and procedures of the school and classroom.
• Maintains classroom arrangement and proper use of materials.
• Promotes care of school property.
• Addresses minor student conflicts and seeks admin support when needed.
• Reports injuries, illnesses, and discipline issues promptly.
• Reports unusual occurrences to the principal.
• Maintains confidentiality of student information.
• Follows school and district policies and guidelines.
• Remains on campus during the school day unless excused.
• Performs other duties as assigned by administration.
• Additional expectations vary by site and grade level.
