Job summary

The Newark Central School District Teacher Assistant will support instructional delivery and serve as a resource within the classroom for differentiated and direct instruction, station work, and general supervision.

This is a 10-month position with an anticipated start date ASAP. Amazing benefits accompany the contract and responsibilities include assisting teachers in material prep, records, and student management.

Qualifications

• NYSED TA Certification or higher required.
• School-based experience preferred.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide instructional services to individuals or small groups under supervision.
• Assist in development and preparation of instructional materials
• Assist with related instruction work as required
• Maintain records under teacher/administrative supervision
• Assist students in using instructional resources
• Supervise students and assist with management
• Perform miscellaneous clerical duties
• Other duties as assigned
