Job summary

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools seeks an Expanded Impact Teacher 2 (EIT2) to extend instructional reach, plan and deliver lessons, monitor student progress, and adjust strategies with a team of teachers under principal supervision.

The position is full-time for 10 months, with supplemental pay of $4,500 for Non-Title I and Title I schools, and involves leadership responsibilities and collaboration with families and community partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• NC Professional Educator's License in the subject area and grade level required.
• At least 3 years of teaching experience with evidence of high-progress student outcomes.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be in the CMS Teacher Leader Pathway Talent Pool as an EIT2.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to state, federal, and local laws, policies, and procedures.
• Adhere to the North Carolina Professional Teaching Standards.
• Set high expectations of achievement that are ambitious and measurable.
• Backwards plan to align lessons, activities, and assessments.
• Design instruction that is enriched and personalized.
• Review student progress and adjust instruction to improve outcomes.
• Lead schoolwide initiatives and collaborate with families.

Education

Bachelor's degree required

NC Professional Educator's License in the subject area and grade level

3+ years teaching experience with high-progress outcomes

Evidence of initiative and leadership of adults

Equivalent combination of education and experience

Must be in CMS Teacher Leader Pathway Talent Pool as an EIT2
