Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in public or business administration with computer science coursework.
• Education equivalency may be satisfied by IT-related experience.
• Two years of systems analysis/data processing experience for Level I.
• One year+ as Systems and Procedures Analyst I for Level II.
• Three years in systems design/development or related fields as equivalence.
• Knowledge of administration, MIS terminology and data processing concepts.
• Familiarity with office methods, software, and documentation practices.
• Ability to design reports and analyze data.

Responsibilities

• Consult with departmental personnel on feasibility of automating recordkeeping.
• Analyze current operations for new system development and processes.
• Recommend improvements in operations and administration.
• Design flow charts and diagrams showing end-to-end processes.
• Study procedures to improve efficiency and flexibility.
