Responsibilities

• Arrive on time, ready to perform duties as outlined.
• Report to the office upon arrival and before leaving for the day.
• Follow lesson plans or consult the principal for alternatives.
• Keep an accurate attendance record for all assigned students.
• Leave a written summary of the day’s activities for the teacher.
• Possibly perform duties of the absent teacher (bus duty, lunch supervision, etc.).
• Remain until the scheduled release time for teachers.
• Correct written work as instructed and maintain student discipline.
• Notify the principal immediately if an accident or serious problem occurs.
• Attend staff meetings if substituting for more than one day.
• Confer with the principal and/or regular teacher as advisable.
• Treat staff, students, and the public with courtesy.
• Limit personal calls and socializing to break times only.
• Do not use the teacher’s computer without permission.
