Job summary

Hall County Schools is seeking a Substitute Teacher to provide classroom instruction and maintain order when the regular teacher is absent. The role requires following lesson plans and supervising students throughout the school day.

Applicants must have a high school diploma (an associate degree or 60 credit hours preferred), provide background clearance, and obtain positive references. Orientation must be completed prior to starting the role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate Degree or 60 hours of post-secondary education preferred.
• Criminal background clearance and positive professional references required.
• Orientation must be completed before substitute work.
• Possession of a valid/expired Georgia Teaching Certificate or substitute training documentation may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom instruction according to plans left by the regular employee.
• Supervise students in hallways, cafeteria, and other areas.
• Use appropriate behavior management strategies.
• Communicate effectively with students, staff and parents.
• Adhere to Hall County School District policies and state/federal laws.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
