Job summary

Outreach Development Corp. seeks a Floor Counselor (Per Diem) based at the Mens Residential Center in Brentwood, NY.

The role delivers clinical series to individuals experiencing substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health symptoms, as part of a multidisciplinary team reporting to the Program Coordinator or Director. Responsibilities include individual and group sessions, documentation in the EHR, and adherence to OASAS policies.

Qualifications

• CASAC-T, CASAC certification required.
• 2–3 years of experience with substance use disorders.
• 1–2 years of experience with co-occurring disorders.
• Experience working in an OASAS-licensed facility is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual sessions consistent with client need, person-centered care and best practices.
• Facilitate group sessions on topics including substance use, relapse prevention, trauma, life skills, stages of change.
• Document all service delivery in the EHR promptly and per standards.
• Deescalate client crises when appropriate and report incidents to site managers.
