Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology or meet Provisional Certificate requirements.
• Must possess or be eligible for a SLP certificate (#3462) from the NJDOE.
• Must maintain licenses to bill under SEMI where applicable.
• Strong knowledge of language development and disorders in children and adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Delivers speech-language therapy per program requirements and regulations.
• Performs comprehensive assessments and writes evaluation reports.
• Develops and reviews IEPs/service plans with staff and parents.
• Manages caseload, records, and due dates in district systems.
• Provides consultative support to teachers and staff about speech/language needs.
• Interprets data for curriculum implications and progress.
• Assists with referrals and community agency coordination.
• Maintains confidential student records and SEMI documentation.
• Follows district policies and NJDOE rules; maintains ethical standards.
