Job summary

Carolina School Services in Henderson, NC, seeks a dedicated Speech Language Pathology Assistant to support our SLP team in clinic and ABA centers. You’ll help implement therapy plans and monitor progress under supervision.

The role emphasizes collaboration with families and educators, strong communication, and staying current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology. Prior licensure and pediatric experience are a plus, but not required for motivated candidates.

Qualifications

• Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant.
• Experience working with pediatric populations is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
• Familiarity with early intervention strategies and patient care practices.
• Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively connect with patients and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment, fostering a supportive and effective workplace.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside our SLP team to create personalized treatment plans.
• Implement evidence-based speech therapy interventions to boost communication abilities.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, educators, and families to support patient care.
• Keep accurate documentation of patient progress and treatment outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about speech disorders and the therapeutic process.
• Stay informed about current research and best practices in speech-language pathology.
