Job summary

Penn Medicine is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide personalized therapy for a variety of speech and language needs, including evaluations and hands-on treatment at our academic medical center.

You will assess speech, voice, swallowing, cognition, and language, develop targeted treatment plans, educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master of Arts or Science in Speech-Language Pathology from an ASHA-accredited program
• Speech-Language Pathologist licensure required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Driver's license required

Responsibilities

• Provides functional evaluation and therapy for speech, voice, swallowing, dysfluency, cognition, and language disorders
• Develops and documents treatment plans; schedules revisits and reassessments
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers; collaborates with multidisciplinary team
• Records prognosis, treatment response, and progress; makes referrals as needed
• Discharges when goals are attained and arranges follow-up or referrals
