Job summary

Centre for Neuro Skills in Texas seeks a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with brain injury, advancing communication and swallowing outcomes. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based therapies tailored to each patient’s needs.

Qualified candidates hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology or Communications Disorders with Texas licensure or eligibility; acute/post-acute rehab experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders required.
• Texas Speech Pathology License or license eligibility required.
• Experience in acute or post-acute rehabilitation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial evaluations to identify communication and cognitive issues, including disorders such as cognition, dysarthria, apraxia, language, dysfluency, and dysphagia.
• Maintain accurate records and reports; communicate with patients, families, insurance representatives, and other clinicians.
• Instruct and supervise clinic aides and students; ensure daily treatment plans are completed; provide guidance as needed.
• Implement a variety of therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient’s needs, including cognition, attention, auditory rehabilitation, and other modalities.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team; participate in team meetings and develop individualized treatment strategies.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship programs to grow clinically and professionally.
