Job summary

Fast Switch, Ltd. in Hebron, CT, is seeking a Certified Special Education Teacher to develop individualized programs for students aged 3–15. The role runs Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, with a focus on independence and life skills in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities include designing curricula, implementing IEPs, assessing progress, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. A Master’s degree and CT certification are required; driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Education or related field.
• Valid Connecticut Special Education Teacher Certification.
• Experience with children and/or individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Ability to develop engaging, differentiated instruction that meets diverse needs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement engaging, personalized curricula aligned with state standards and student needs.
• Develop and monitor IEPs in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams.
• Assess student progress and provide feedback to families and team members.
• Lead evidence-based instructional strategies tailored to each learning profile.
• Manage classroom routines and schedules to create a supportive environment.
• Collaborate with colleagues during trans-disciplinary meetings to refine programs.
• Inspire and supervise staff through training, coaching, and evaluations.
• Maintain detailed documentation, including progress reports and updates for families.
