Job summary

Thrive Therapies Group seeks a Special Education Teacher to design and deliver instruction for K–12 students with disabilities. You will manage IEP development, coordinate with service providers, and communicate with families as a key member of the multidisciplinary team.

Role requires a degree in Special Education, active licensure, and knowledge of IDEA. Preference given to those with IEP case management experience and bilingual skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Active state Special Education teaching license or certification.
• Knowledge of IDEA, IEP development and case management, and state regulations.
• Experience or training in evidence-based instructional approaches for students with disabilities.
• 1+ years of special education teaching experience (preferred).
• Experience as an IEP case manager (preferred).
• Training or certification in structured literacy or Orton-Gillingham (preferred).
• Experience co-teaching or inclusion support (preferred).
• Bilingual (Spanish) encouraged (preferred).
• Familiarity with transition planning, VR coordination, and post-secondary planning (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver differentiated, evidence-based instruction aligned to each student’s IEP goals and grade-level standards.
• Manage IEP development and implementation, and coordinate with related services providers.
• Communicate with families and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings.
• Coordinate with SLPs, OTs, PTs, BCBAs, school psychologists, and mental health clinicians.
• Lead IEP meetings with families, teachers, and administrators.
• Supervise paraprofessionals and instructional aides in the classroom.
• Collaborate with general education teachers for inclusion and co-planning.
• Support transition planning for students aged 14 and older.
