Job summary

Achieve Beyond Pediatric Therapy & Autism Services seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher for Suffolk, NY. The role offers a flexible schedule and the opportunity to serve children birth through 21 in homes, clinics, and community settings.

Responsibilities include delivering pediatric therapy services, educating families on interventions, and documenting progress while ensuring HIPAA-compliant records. Starting wage $52.00–$58.00 hourly with benefits available.

Qualifications

• Must have a passion for working with children and families.
• Must hold one of the NYS certifications/licenses listed (Birth–2, permanent certs, social worker licenses).
• Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth–21 years in natural settings (homes, clinics, community).
• Educate families on intervention strategies to facilitate involvement and carry-over.
• Work in diverse settings including client homes, daycare centers, preschools, clinics, and community locations.
• Follow the therapy plan and plan ongoing treatment, documenting progress toward goals.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain confidential child records per HIPAA and regulations.
• Travel to and from cases; driving, walking or public transit; able to lift 10 pounds and perform floor activities.
