Bellevue NE Bertha Barber Elementary in Bellevue, Nebraska is hiring a Special Education Resource Paraprofessional for a 7 hour per day role, working under a teacher or designated staff member’s supervision. Duties include supporting special education students, with tasks in the classroom, lunchroom, transportation, and activities across the building. Starting date is immediate.

This is a full/part-time position with typical hours from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Qualifications

• Must not pose a direct threat to health or safety.
• Must be able to regularly attend to duties for the full duration of the assignment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and work with students one-on-one and in small groups as needed.
• Assist the teacher in the classroom.
• Provide lifting or physical assistance when required; assist in the lunchroom and with toileting, transportation, and recreational activities in all areas of the building.
